Madelain has a passion for health and wellbeing. She originally started practising as a yoga teacher, designing bespoke programmes for her high performing clientele in Cape Town to help them manage stress. However, it soon became apparent that effective stress management requires proactive and preventative strategies, which lead her to further studies to widen her approach and include mindfulness, movement & lifestyle coaching, in which nutrition also plays its part. It can be our tonic, but can also have adverse effects on our wellbeing if we make poor nutrition choices when seeking to deal with work pressures (e.g. caffeine for alertness or sugar based treats for energy).
Her ongoing studies of human behaviour through various institutes has allowed her to take an interdisciplinary approach with her sister / partner – to help businesses manage the modern workplace.
Madelain’s extensive knowledge of physical wellbeing, including the role nutrition, habits and environmental exposure have on the mind, ensures that all Mad About My Business programmes look at the whole person and include practical tools to help them flow at their best within the workplace.
